What the Grow Digital Voucher covers
The voucher replaced and expanded the older Trading Online Voucher in 2025. It's broader and more generous. Eligible spend includes:
- Website design, redesign and ecommerce builds
- SEO and digital marketing strategy
- Email marketing setup, CRM and automation
- AI tools and AI-powered website features
- Booking systems, online payments, customer portals
- Digital training for your team
- Cybersecurity and GDPR compliance work
Who qualifies
You qualify if you tick all of the following:
- Irish-registered SME with 1–50 employees
- Trading for at least 6 months
- Annual turnover under €50 million
- Have not already received the maximum voucher amount
- Can co-fund 50% of the project cost upfront
How much you get and how it works
Up to €5,000 covering 50% of project costs (you pay the other 50%). On a €2,495 Digital Bridge Growth-tier website, the voucher covers €1,247.50 and you pay €1,247.50 out of pocket. You can apply for multiple smaller projects up to the total cap.
How to apply (the actual steps)
We've walked dozens of Irish SMEs through this — here's the realistic path:
- 1. Contact your Local Enterprise Office (LEO) — there's one in every county
- 2. Attend a free 'Digital for Business' workshop (some counties require this)
- 3. Get a quote from an approved supplier (Digital Bridge is approved nationwide)
- 4. Submit the application with the quote — turnaround is 4–8 weeks
- 5. Once approved, the project starts and you pay your 50%
- 6. On completion the LEO pays the supplier the other 50% directly
Frequently asked questions
Is the Grow Digital Voucher the same as the Trading Online Voucher?
It replaced it. The Trading Online Voucher was capped at €2,500 and focused mainly on ecommerce. Grow Digital is €5,000 and covers SEO, AI tools, marketing and broader digital transformation.
Can I use it for SEO and digital marketing, not just a website?
Yes — SEO strategy, on-page work, content production, Google Ads setup, email automation and CRM are all eligible. Most clients combine a new website with 3–6 months of SEO under one voucher.
How long does approval take?
4–8 weeks from a complete application. Workshops add 1–2 weeks. Plan accordingly — don't start the project before approval, as retrospective costs aren't covered.
Is Digital Bridge an approved supplier?
Yes — Digital Bridge is approved across all 26 counties. We handle the quote, supplier paperwork and post-project sign-off so you only deal with your LEO once.
What if I've already used a Trading Online Voucher?
You may still qualify for top-up funding under Grow Digital up to the €5,000 lifetime cap. Your LEO will confirm your remaining balance.
